Thai Massage

Click HERE to learn more about Thai Massage technique.

thai 01Thai Massage is an Ancient Healing Art that dates back to the time of Buddha.  It works on the physical body as well as the energetic body.  This modality is sometimes referred to as Thai Yoga Massage because of the many stretches involved.  Many Western Massage Techniques including Trigger Point, Myofacial techniques, Manual Therapy and others are incorporated in Thai Massage.

Thai Massage works on the major meridians, also called energy lines or Nadis, that run throughout the human body. It aims to harmonize the body, to loosen blocks, and to recoup deficiencies along the energy lines allowing life energy, or Prana, to freely circulate. The combination of energetic and physical aspects is unique to Thai Massage, and so are its effects.  Recipients notice a feeling of increased energy and relaxation.

To give and experience Thai Massage is a meditative experience.  A system of movements allows the therapist to manipulate the client without much effort.. The client is fully clothed in loose comfortable clothes that allow the body to be moved, loosened and stretched while lying on a soft comfortable mat on the floor. Thai Massages can range in length from 90 minutes to three hours; however the longest one I offer at this time is 90 minutes.

Regular Thai Massage is a way to help prevent sickness. It helps to dissolve blocks before they manifest psychologically or physically. The enhanced energy flow in the body helps alleviate common problematic conditions such as lower back pain, arthritis, headaches and digestive difficulties. Those suffering from stress-related conditions, sedentary people, athletes and all those in between will benefit from this powerful technique.
